Join the choir
Thinking of joining us?
If you are looking to join a choir in London ask yourself this:
- Are you a confident singer with good sight reading skills, and/or a good ear for acquiring music quickly?
- Would you like to sing a wide range of repertoire from the Renaissance period to the present day?
- Would you like to sing in some of the nicest venues in London and abroad?
- Would you like the occasional opportunity to sing in small ensembles or a solo part within the choir?
If the answer is ’YES’, then we would be delighted to hear from you.
We are a friendly group of singers, brought together by the enjoyment of working together to create performances of a very high standard.
What you can expect when you join
Our current home is in Central London, at St Cyprian’s church, Glentworth St, London NW1 6AX, where we rehearse on Monday evenings from 18.35 – 21.20.
We usually perform about four concerts per year in various venues around London, some with a small orchestra, some with organ accompaniment or a cappella. Have a look at the upcoming concerts to get an idea.
In addition to our activities around London, every few years we go on a trip abroad to sing in some of the nicest venues around Europe.
We also have a number of social activities like organised walks, a book club, the occasional dinner and others, too. We are also looking to restart regular pub visits after rehearsals.
There is a subscription per year. The rate varies and there are reduced rates for young people, pensioners and other eligible members.
You are welcome to arrange to attend a trial rehearsal before a formal but friendly audition. Our new member information page gives more details for new and prospective members including costs and how we manage the choir.
We are committed to equal opportunities and welcome diversity. We will make all reasonable adjustments for anyone with a disability.
